In my previous article I mentioned the two studios that I do practice in Fayetteville, Embrace and Perfect Union. Being a seasoned yogi as mentioned before, I can still enjoy myself, expand my practice and find peace in Fayetteville. Let me give you a few reasons why I can call both these studios home and what to expect.
Embrace Yoga Studio
Embrace Yoga studio is located in historic Downtown Fayetteville. It is located on Franklin street in a distressed brick building. Upon entering the studio, you are immediately in heaven with the blissful smell of essential oils in the air. The downtown vibe is carried into the studio with exposed brick walls in the lobby hall. There are cubbies to place personal belongings and a changing room. Opening the doors into the yoga space, the floor is wooden, the room has high ceilings with rustic beams, large windows for natural lighting and soft lighting to create ambiance. Blocks, Straps, towels, bolsters and blankets are available for your own personal use.
All the instructors at Embrace are wonderful and offer something different to the community. You can only expect kindness and warm smiles. The instructors show concern for any injuries you may have, show the ability to innovate, and some instructors incorporate a spiritual aspect into their practice. The classes Embrace offers are open to all skill levels. The community surrounding embrace are non-judgmental and are willing to help anyone. There are good vibes here and the people are what keep me coming back for more. The warm flow mix level and the other mix level flow classes are great. They are playful and can cater to all levels, encourages you to stay where you’re comfortable, and gives you the cues to play.
There is always something going on at Embrace and they are very much involved in the community. They offer FREE yoga to military and their families on Sunday evenings, you can expect a packed house so arrive early! They also offer outdoor yoga when the weather is nice. Currently they are holding a 30-day challenge to get the community to commit to 30 straight days of yoga and they support local businesses. In April, a chair yoga workshop will be offered so keep you eyes open! Embrace sells Manduka mats, hand-made jewelry, shirts and more. This month they are holding their annual Yoga Alliance 200-hour Teacher Training starting March 28th, so don’t forget to sign up!

I am an instructor a Perfect Union and I would practice here more if I didn’t live so far away. If enough isn’t being said that I work here, let me share with you what you can find and expect at Perfect Union.
Perfect Union is located in Raeford NC, just across the Fayetteville City limit. It is part of Raeford Athletics; a yoga studio, CrossFit gym and Zumba facility all in one complex. Perfect Union is a cute space with large windows in front of house for natural lighting. Dark wood laminate flooring is complimented by the white crown molding. Upon walking into PUY, it is open and refreshing. There are benches that serve as cubbies and two shelving units that holds blocks, blankets, straps, yoga mats, mat cleaner, towels, Perfect Union shirts and yoga books for reference. There is a fridge for selling water and for keeping cooled lavender cloths to be used after warm and hot flow classes. Perfect Union also has two dressing rooms with mirrors.
Two double doors open to a 300 square foot practice space with tall ceilings and soft light. One of the walls is covered with mirrors for students to use during practice. A heating unit for hot and warm yoga runs around the room, they are sleek and unnoticeable. This space can fit up to fourteen students, PUY is hoping to expand the space to occupy more students as it continues to grow.
The Instructors at PUY are awesome! Being a military community, there have been some losses and new additions to the staff. PUY Instructors are passionate and innovative. They have the ability to cater to needs of beginners and those who want to be pushed to their edge. Expect modern fun jams and to have an awesome time! All vinyasa flow, hot flow and warm flow classes are playful, offering advanced postures, inversions and balancing. In addition to those classes beginner yoga, slow warm yoga, Prenatal, 4-7 year old yoga and 24mo-4yr old yoga are among the variety taught at PUY.
Whats unique about PUY is they offer a CrossFit/yoga combo and a couples package so you and your sweetie can practice together or apart for one price. PUY also offers childcare during select classes. This is unique to most businesses in Fayetteville. PUY is very much family oriented and has a little something to offer everyone! Come check PUY out at http://www.perfectunionyoga.com; Facebook Perfect Union Yoga; Instagram: Perfect Union Yoga or stop by
I would like to mention that both studios have frequent brogi attendees. I have been to many studios and Embrace and PUY have the most male students that attend regularly. So if you are a man and/or have a husband or boyfriend, come by these studios and don’t hesitant because, you won’t be the only guy in there. I encourage anyone in the area to visit these studios more than once, take a few classes from different instructors and have an open mind. The Fayetteville yoga community is growing and has a lot of trained and passionate instructors at studios who can honor any request. Both studios are priced fairly and offer military discounts.
